A full-day experience celebrating 11 years of Black midwife-founded, birth worker-led, and community-rooted work.
The day will begin with guests gathering at 21c before traveling to Ferguson for a community tour and an experience at Jamaa and the African Indigenous Midwifery Museum. Guests will then return to 21c for an evening cocktail reception, the premiere of Jamaa’s first documentary, a post-film conversation, dinner, recognition, music, and our 11-year anniversary celebration and dance party.
The experience will honor the hands, prayers, labor, ancestral lineages, families, birth workers, and community members who carried Jamaa through its first decade while inviting people into the next era of our work.
