At The Historic Jamaa Birth Village Cultural Heritage Center, we honor and preserve the sacred traditions of African Indigenous midwifery while continuing our mission to provide community-centered maternal health, education, and cultural healing. As Missouri’s first Black-led midwifery clinic, we’ve evolved into a national cultural landmark, anchoring three groundbreaking programs:
