The Black Perinatal Wealth™ Peer Support Initiative is a new initiative under Jamaa Birth Village, created for Black community members, with a goal of providing free peer support training to 700 people across the St. Louis region to assist their friends, family members & neighbors in supporting the pregnant people in their life, with a wealth of knowledge, tools and education in creating better birth outcomes.

Pregnant people deserve to not only have good providers, but they also deserve to have people in their lives who are well educated, informed and prepared to support them in thriving during pregnancy, in childbirth and throughout the postpartum phase. The Black Perinatal Wealth™ Peer Support training provides an 8-hour training for each attendee, packed with knowledge, information and resources covering the perinatal health phase, preconception-2-years postpartum. This is a citywide effort to close the disparity gap in childbirth, and put a stop to preventable infant and maternal mortality and morbidity in the Black community, and this goal starts with each one of us.

Are you ready to support your community?

BLACK PERINATAL WEALTH™ PEER SUPPORT TRAININGS
