Our Family Support Program

Are you a low-income expectant parent in need of housing and transportation assistance, career guidance, financial, employment or educational resources? If so talk to one our our village support members to assist you in enrolling in our Jamaa Succeeds© program. You will be assigned a Community Health Worker who will design a 2-year success plan for you and your family. Visits will be made at your home or at our Ferguson Birth Village.

We provide:

  • Housing Assistance
  • Transportation Navigation
  • Financial Support


  • 1 Pregnant or parent of an infant (12 months and under)
  • 2 Low-Income, Single or Unemployed

With two years of support in the Jamaa Succeeds family support program, we are working towards the following outcomes:

Pregnancy + Parenting

  • Full-term birth, healthy mom & baby
  • Lowered or no risk for postpartum complications or depression
  • Adequate individualized parenting skills through the completion of Jamaa's parenting course


  • Culturally congruent provider and up to date with wellness visits
  • Increased and/or Stable Emotional and Mental health
  • Balanced diet & exercise habits fitting the needs of the family
  • Safe and healthy home environment


  • Stable employment or career with fair and adequate pay
  • Enrolled or completed educational classes to support a growing career
  • Reliable and safe transportation
